Hi, I'm Daniel.

My leap from social work to technology was driven by a persistent inner question I’ve always had— "Is there a better way to do this?" This curiosity led me into the world of software engineering and cloud architecture, where I now thrive on solving complex problems and building scalable solutions. Outside of technology, I compete in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and teach kids the discipline and focus that have shaped both my life and career.

Visitor Counter

This project showcases cloud skills using AWS, Terraform, and GitHub Actions. It features a static website on AWS S3 with a visitor counter powered by Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, and a CI/CD pipeline with GitHub Actions and Terraform.

BreadBasket

Breadbasket is a full-stack app using React, Node.js/Express, MongoDB, and Firebase for user authentication. Vendors can log in and place orders, while the backend automates order processing, generates reports, and emails them to recipients.

Match Predictor

This Python-based app uses a linear regression model to predict potential matches in dating apps based on factors like gender, age, income, and attractiveness. Users input their details, and the model provides personalized predictions of match success.

Deploying to the Cloud

This blog captures my journey through cloud computing and software engineering, from mastering core concepts to building scalable, reliable solutions. I share insights, challenges, and practical tips as I navigate the complexities of modern development, aiming to inspire others and reflect on the lessons learned along the way.
